We’re delighted to share the powerful and influential story of Tracy, National Sales Manager (INDASA USA).

Having been exposed to the industry and an overwhelming male presence as a young woman, Tracy was inspired to steer from her initial career path and pursue a profession that appeared so seemingly different. A motivation derived from curiosity and ambition to try something new:

"When someone close to me said that there was 'no way' I would be hired into this industry, the challenge was on! Twenty years later, I still stand strong."

The dialogue we have with one another can define our inner voice and confidence. Having conversations about gender equality from an early age can be hugely beneficial. Continuously spreading messages of respect and empowerment is priceless for self-esteem and determination later in life.  

“Much of who I am is shaped by growing up the daughter of an Army Officer. My Dad’s commander was a high-ranking female who challenged traditional gender stereotypes, empowered women and acted as a coach to many of her male colleagues. From an early age I admired her leadership style - she was classy, professional, funny and confident.”

We often make assumptions about certain industries. To assume a role is gender-specific is truly limiting to the opportunities that lay ahead. The #EachForEqual movement recognises that embracing gender inclusivity is key for accelerating growth and productivity. 

Perfectly underpinning this year’s theme 'an equal world, is an enabled world' by highlighting potential roadblocks that women face - thank you for sharing Tracy.
